Aim: This mini webinar will provide you with a brief guide to time off timetable funding for early career teachers (ECTs) in their second year, as outlined in government guidance, including information on eligibility and proportionate funding for part-time staff, funding arrangements and assurance that funding is used to best support ECTs and their mentors.

Rationale: During their second year, funding is provided for each ECT to have 5% of their time ‘off timetable’ for induction activities such as training and support. This funding also provides a dedicated mentor for each ECT, based on 20 hours of mentoring in the second year of their induction.
