CPD Certified

For: DSLs, Deputy DSLs, SENCOs and school leaders responsible for safeguarding

Aim: This webinar will help you understand the legal framework around safeguarding pupils with SEND and your statutory responsibilities, and will explain how to identify and implement best practice in your specific setting.

Rationale: The DfE’s Keeping children safe in education(KCSIE) statutory guidance states that, with respect to pupils with SEND, governing bodies and proprietors should “ensure that their child protection policy reflects the fact that additional barriers can exist when recognising abuse and neglect”, and that DSLs and Deputy DSLs should attend regular training to keep alert to their specific needs.
