This webinar will provide headteachers, leaders and governors with expert insight into a scoping study commissioned by Ofsted and carried out by Research in Practice to clarify the purpose, provision and potential of early help for children and families in England.

On 10 February 2022, Ofsted published ‘What is early help? Concepts, policy directions and multi-agency perspectives’ to bring together key information about ‘early help’, including current provision, policy debates, considerations and points of confusion for professionals and agencies, understanding terminology, and potential indicators for a good, whole-system approach.

In this webinar, Adrian Gray, former inspector, Ofsted evaluator and academy trust consultant with extensive leadership experience, highlights key points of the scoping study, exploring proposals for improving early help to manage the needs of children and families, and discussing the implications for schools and colleges.
