This webinar will provide school governors, headteachers, senior leaders and all school staff with support and advice on how they can work together with appropriate bodies to comply with statutory arrangements for early career teachers (ECTs) due to come into force from 1st September 2021.
On Thursday 25th March 2021, the DfE published their statutory document ‘Appropriate bodies guidance: induction and the early career framework’. Schools who choose to deliver their own induction programmes, whether using DfE accredited materials or the Early Careers Framework (ECF) itself, will need to provide information to their appropriate body to demonstrate that their programme fulfils statutory requirements.
In this webinar, Jayne Robinson, school leader and SCITT tutor whose 25 years’ experience includes roles as NQT mentor and EYFS lead, will explain the core functions of appropriate bodies, what school’s responsibilities are and what collaborative steps they can take in anticipation of relevant checks.
