Webinar duration: 54 minutes (approx.)

This webinar will provide headteachers, senior leaders, teachers and teaching assistants with practical guidance and advice on how they can adapt their current teaching practice to deliver a more diverse and inclusive curriculum, representative of different student voices.

Pedagogy which adapts to children’s own lived experiences, celebrates different cultures and engages pupils from different backgrounds is central to creating a broad and balanced curriculum. Decolonisation can contribute to successful inclusion and create an environment that promotes a cultural shift to thinking more widely about why common knowledge is what it is.

This webinar will explore ideas around how educators can decolonise their pedagogy in more detail, introduce different teaching styles that promote inclusion and consider how to implement a more proactive approach to interrogating existing hierarchies.
