On 30 April 2022, the Home Office published their updated, draft version of their Controlling or coercive behaviour statutory guidance for consultation. The document provides information on how to reduce the risk of harm to, and provide support for, the victim and their family, including how other agencies, including schools, can assist. It also provides information on identifying, evidencing, charging, prosecuting and convicting the updated offence. The consultation closes on 25 June 2022.

In this webinar, Robin Watts, international safeguarding expert and education consultant who has worked with schools worldwide, explores the key areas that the document looks to cover, how the new guidance will impact safeguarding in education settings and why schools should get involved in the consultation process.
