DfE Guidance on Completing the EYFS Progress Check at Age 2

This webinar will provide early years managers, teachers and practitioners with an insight into DfE guidance and support around the early years foundation stage (EYFS) progress check at age two, in order to help make an accurate assessment of children’s development, health and wellbeing.

On 11 May 2022, the DfE published their ‘Progress check at age 2’ non-statutory guidance. The guidance helps practitioners review children’s development and progress, identify any areas of concern or additional developmental needs, and work with parents, and other professionals, to put in place appropriate support and interventions. It should be read alongside the EYFS statutory framework and non-statutory curriculum guidance, Development Matters.

In this webinar, Sue Asquith, an award-winning, international early childhood consultant with experience as speaker and author, will provide an overview of the guidance document and explore details around undertaking the progress check, recognising where additional support may be required and how to take actions which are in the best interests of the child.
