Aim: This webinar will provide you with an expert overview of the benefits and challenges of co-production– a cooperative relationship between professionals, parents and pupils which facilitates the planning, delivery and evaluation of services to support children with SEND. Also included are examples of how co-production can be meaningfully promoted and enacted in education settings.

Rationale: Many children with SEND are not receiving adequate support. Taking their opinions and preferences into account can increase their engagement and give them a real sense of ownership over their learning, in fulfilment of statutory duties established in the Children and Families Act 2014, and the SEND code of practice: 0 – 25 years.
