Adam Ranson is a teacher and educator with over 30 years’ experience as a curriculum project manager, trainer and consultant on global learning, sustainable development, climate change, and social justice.
He has been a trainer and regional advisor for the British Council and a global learning consultant for several consortia throughout Europe. Adam has also collaborated on global learning and climate justice education programmes in Africa, Latin America, and South and East Asia.
By coordinating the development of a methodology enabling schools to deliver education programmes, he has helped to prepare students to meet the global challenges represented by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Over the past 5 years he has been working on two international projects with schools across Europe to develop materials and approaches to embed climate change into the curriculum.
Adam has been a centre coordinator for Leeds Development Education Centre for over 20 years and is also a director of the national Consortium for Development Education Centres (CoDEC). Prior to that he was the coordinator of Hull Development Education Centre, a practising primary teacher, and a validated local authority teacher trainer for over 9 years.
