Child Sexual Exploitation Explained
This short video addresses the key details around how children and young people can find themselves being sexually exploited in the online world.

The sexual exploitation of children and young people doesn’t always involve
physical contact. Increasingly, it’s taking place through technology – with young
people being coerced or manipulated into (most commonly) sharing nude or semi-nude images of themselves, holding explicit conversations via online messaging or texts,
or conducting sexual activity on webcams. Even without direct contact with the
offender, the risks to a child’s mental and emotional wellbeing are
incalculable – and it can be extremely difficult to ascertain whether a child or young person is (or has been) exploited in this way. Our short video will help trusted adults to begin understanding this difficult topic.
