Careers Education: Meeting the Gatsby Benchmarks and Implementing Statutory Guidance | Secondary

This webinar will equip headteachers, senior leaders, career leaders, governors, teachers and practitioners with knowledge and skills to help them implement an effective careers programme aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks and which fulfils schools’ statutory duties embodied in the DfE’s ‘Careers guidance and access for education and training providers’.

Given the impact of the pandemic, it has never been more important for schools to provide high-quality careers education at secondary level, to help young people develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to make informed career choices, navigate career pathways and prepare to achieve goals in adult life.

This webinar will explore the key elements of the Gatsby Benchmarks and DfE’s statutory guidance, and explain how schools can develop comprehensive careers education which combines work experience, personal guidance and engagement with prospective employers, further and higher education providers, so that school leavers are fully prepared for the next stage in their lives.
