Evidence suggests that the past year of lockdown has had a significant impact on children aged 4 to 5. Measures used to combat the pandemic have deprived children of social interaction and the experiences necessary to increase language skills before moving into Year 1, potentially having long-term effects on learning and affecting their physical, emotional and social development.

In this webinar, the British Association for Early Childhood Education, a national charity supporting early years practitioners and campaigner for quality education for the youngest children, discuss how schools can adapt current teaching and learning plans to build confidence, improve attainment and help pupils flourish as part of a whole-school approach.
