This webinar will provide school governors, senior leaders, headteachers and school staff with practical advice and support on meeting their statutory requirements relating to the phonics screening check for year 2 pupils for the 2020/21 academic year.

On the 7th September, the Standards and Testing Agency published their statutory guidance ‘Administering the phonics screening check to year 2 pupils in the 2020 autumn term.’ For this academic year only, it is statutory for schools to administer a past version of the phonics screening check to year 2 pupils during the second half of the 2020 autumn term and return results to the LA. This is due to the cancellation of the check in June 2020 due to COVID-19.
