At National Online Safety, we provide multi-award-winning online safety education for the whole school community. It’s our mission to make the internet a safer place for children. We believe that when children go online to learn, communicate or play, they should be able to do so safely. That’s why we provide schools all over the world with the knowledge they need in order to tackle new and evolving online risks.
Once merely a plot device of science fiction stories, artificial intelligence (AI) is now figuring in our everyday digital lives with increasing regularity - in ways that we sometimes don't even realise. Our five-minute video gives you the essential intel on artificial intelligence.
What is Artificial Intelligence?
Artificial Intelligence or AI relates to computers that can ‘think’ for themselves. Computers have had the ability to appear intelligent for years because they have been programmed how to behave in given circumstances. AI is the difference between humans programming a chess program that can beat humans by feeding it tactics, and a chess program being given the basic rules and figuring out winning strategies for itself.
