Aim: This webinar provides you with an understanding of specific mental health issues which can be faced by EAL pupils, how they differ to non-EAL pupils, and guidance on how to develop strategies which can be used to support their mental health and wellbeing.

Rationale: The latest statistics from the UK government show that around one in five (19.5%) of school pupils have English as an Additional Language, which equates to more than 1.5 million children in Britain. These young people are more likely to feel socially isolated and more likely to self-report behavioural disorders such as anxiety and depression which raises significant concerns and provides an array of unique (and often sensitive) challenges for schools to address.
