This webinar will provide governors, headteachers, senior leaders and senior mental health leads with expert guidance and advice on delivering a successful whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing which centres around the Public Health England’s (PHEs) 8 principles of a whole school or college approach to promoting mental health and wellbeing.

On 21 September 2021, PHE updated their guidance, 'Promoting children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing’. The guidance helps schools and colleges to meet their statutory requirements and foster a readiness to learn, and supports children to achieve the best possible outcomes through the development of a whole school or college approach to mental health and wellbeing.

In this webinar Anna Bateman, subject matter expert on mental health and wellbeing, who has worked in an advisory role for the DfE, will explore what the guidance means for schools and colleges, how it can be used to help build children’s resilience and what a successful whole-school approach to mental health actually looks like.
