Witham St Hughs English Hub

Witham St Hughs English Hub is one of 34 such centres across the country, designated by the Department for Education. It currently serves more than 80 partner schools across the districts of Lincolnshire, North and North East Lincolnshire, Newark and Sherwood, and Bassetlaw.

The hub assists schools in areas including early language development, phonics and generally promoting a beneficial love of reading among children. It operates the Lincolnshire Reading Pledge: a programme which helps schools to develop and maintain a culture of reading for pleasure, shares examples of best practice and offers annual awards to work towards.
