Simon Burns

Simon Burns is an associate assistant head with extensive experience in curriculum leadership and school operations. In addition to his senior leadership role, he serves as Head of Chemistry and Assistant Timetabler, ensuring the effective delivery of science education and the strategic management of school schedules.

As the Lead Mentor for Initial Teacher Training (ITT) at the University of Hertfordshire, Simon is dedicated to supporting and developing the next generation of educators. His main areas of educational interest include curriculum design, timetabling and assessment, where he works to enhance teaching and learning through thoughtful planning and data-driven strategies.
