Silvia Bastow
Currently Subject Leader for Modern Foreign Languages at a secondary academy, Silvia Bastow is a teacher of German with almost 20 years’ experience in the education sector. She also holds the post of Specialist Leader in Education for MFL at the Salop Teaching Partnership for Shropshire, and Telford and Wrekin.
A member of the Association for Language Learning council and a qualified translator/interpreter in German and Slovak, Silvia is a GCSE Examiner who has also worked as a consultant for secondary and primary German language teaching and on learning CPD programmes in Germany. She regularly presents at conferences and webinars, and co-authored the book German Primary Sentence Builders, as well as writing numerous articles on teaching modern languages.
