Ross Savage

Ross Savage began his career in the Metropolitan Police, before moving to Scotland Yard and joining the National Terrorist Financial Investigation Unit. In 2013 Ross was seconded to the MOD to provide specialist support and expertise, travelling across Afghanistan, the US and Europe. Ross was responsible for providing bespoke financial crime training to identify defence stakeholders.

In 2020, Ross become a Course Director with the International Compliance Association (ICA) and in 2021 the Global Lead for sanctions compliance training, adding acting responsibility for financial crime prevention training to his portfolio in 2022.

In 2021 and 2022, Ross had responsibility for delivering the first new diploma qualification the ICA had launched in ten years - the International Diploma in Managing Sanctions Risk. He achieved this by working closely with industry experts and key internal and external stakeholders. The programme delivers a blended learning approach, consisting of student-driven learning, supported by virtual classroom sessions and group tutorials, with a final immersive session, delivered from a world-leading virtual training studio. In July 2022, Ross moved back to private consultancy and training delivery.
