Philippa Wraithmell

Philippa Wraithmell is a global digital transformation specialist who had led digital education and strategy across FS1-YR12 in both British and American curriculum schools.

Philippa became an Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE) in 2019 after leading her school to Apple Distinguished that year, delivering whole school training build around digital technology, teaching and learning and supporting teachers.

Philippa has exemplary teaching and leadership experience in primary and secondary schools in the UK and UAE for more than 12 years. Her school leadership experience spans the FS-13/ K-12 curriculum areas and supports meaningful technologies using research-based strategies and embedding pedagogy within digital learning. During the Covid-19 pandemic she supported schools in need with developing online learning systems to ensure education for all.

Philippa is the Chair of GoBubble’s Global Education Council. In 2020, she won a GESS education award for Innovation in Learning and was part of the BETT Middle East advisory board, which led to her becoming a founding member of Wii_Edu, a platform which supports women in education. She is now working on a book she hopes will help leaders and educators globally develop sustainable digital eco-systems, published this year by John Catt Education.

Philippa graduated from Nottingham Trent University and has completed an NPQSL in improving learning via digital technology.
