Michelle is a qualified teacher with the mandatory qualification for multisensory impairment (QTMSI) and has been working in the field of SEND for 25 years.
Michelle currently works at the Seashell Trust as Head of Sensory Support (External Services). Previously she has worked as the head of a local authority sensory service, a lead QTMSI and assistant headteacher within a specialist setting, a MSI regional tutor for Birmingham University and a MSI consultant for Sense.
Michelle is passionate about training the next generation of MSI specialists to have high expectations of deafblind learners and to embrace the ethos of ‘active’ support, empowering them to maximise their potential in all areas of their lives.
