Nasen (National Association for Special Educational Needs)
Michael is Education Officer for the National Association for Special Educational Needs (nasen), and Editor of nasen Connect, the organisation’s bi-monthly membership magazine. His time at nasen began in 2016, when he was seconded to work on the development of the online focus on SEND training.
Michael began his teaching career in 1994, and has worked in primary schools both in England and abroad. During this time, he had various roles including SENCO, equal opportunities lead, ICT lead and deputy headteacher. He broadened his experience by working for a local authority as an advisory teacher for SEND, providing him with the opportunity to develop his knowledge of the early years and secondary sectors.
