Megan Dixon
Megan Dixon is a specialist literacy teacher, consultant and teacher trainer with 20 years’ experience working with children across a variety of schools in both primary and secondary education settings.
She is the Director of Literacy at a MAT, Research and Development Lead for the Aspirer Teaching School and Director of a Research School. As part of her role with the Aspire Educational Trust, she works to establish effective networks across the schools to ensure outstanding literacy learning for all.
Megan has been involved in developing evidence-based teaching and learning for many years. She has worked closely with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) as a Senior Associate and has worked in an advisory capacity for both the DfE and Ofsted.
Megan holds a Master of Teaching (IoE/UCL) and a Masters in Literacy Learning and Literacy Development (IoE/UCL). She has a strong track record in school improvement, supporting schools to quickly and effectively raise attainment for all learners, with expertise in providing bespoke support for schools in challenging circumstances and in areas of disadvantage.
Megan writes a monthly column for the TES and has contributed to many publications including the Early Career Teachers Handbook edited by the Chartered College of Teaching.
