Lorna graduated from Durham University with a BA (Hons) in Combined Honours in Social Science and also from the University of Cambridge with an MPhil Sociology, where her thesis focused on marginalisation and exclusion in education.
Previously working in an NHS Mental Health trust, Lorna joined Our Time to lead and to build on the charity's offer for schools and CPD. This includes training to help school staff and professionals evaluate their current support offering and implement inclusive, whole school, strategies to promote positive cultures surrounding mental health, that includes parental mental illness.
She is passionate about promoting positive outcomes for children and young people who have a parent with mental ill health, as well as building constructive and open well-being cultures through education.
