Jonathan Ferstenberg

Jonathan Ferstenberg has over twenty years of highly successful school improvement experience, including as the founder of his own firm, ‘Bespoke School and Leadership Development’, and as a MAT Director of School Improvement, Head Teacher, academic senior leader, Head of Sixth Form and Head of Personal Development Studies. He uses collaborative reviews, support and coaching to help schools make rapid improvements, even under the most challenging circumstances. 

In just over three years as a Director of School Improvement for a MAT serving areas of high disadvantage, he supported three schools to raise their Ofsted 'overall effectiveness' judgements and supported the other three to maintain their Good and Outstanding judgements. 

As the Headteacher of a school facing closure due to an unsustainable deficit, he balanced the budget, increased enrolment by one-third and achieved record Year 13 results. 

In just two terms as a Director of School Improvement (Secondary), he took a Sixth Form from a disappointing set of results to the top 4% of the UK for Level 3 Value Added. Then, while fulfilling the role of Head of School, he oversaw an increase in Progress 8 of +0.34 in just one year.
