Jamie Hagan

Jamie Hagan is a passionate educator, currently working in an Associate Senior Leader position at GEMS Founders School as an Advanced Skills Teacher. Within this role, she has created and developed a bespoke Character Education curriculum for the needs of the school community, and the success of this action research project has been shared internationally.

Jamie is also a teacher of art and design, with experience in teaching all year groups from Year 3 to Year 13. As Head of Art, Jamie has led a growing team for three years and set up successful GCSE and A level art and design courses. On top of teaching in a UK curriculum international school, she has also taught within the Irish school setting.

Having gained a first-class honours BA in Art & Design Education, Jamie then went on to get an MA in Art Psychotherapy, gaining experience working in a range of mental health settings: clinical, educational, and residential. Jamie is enthusiastic about creating opportunities for young people to develop - to strengthen their sense of self and to ensure they feel safe and confident in who they are and who they will become.
