Ian Kirby

Ian has been a Trustee of a four school SEN MAT from incorporation through to merger with a new MAT. Currently he is a parent governor at St Andrew’s CE First School as well as Chief Operating Officer for Victoria Academies Trust. Based in the West Midlands, he is part of the executive leadership team supporting the Trust Board and CEO with delivering the Trusts strategic priorities. He leads the central services team, consisting of Finance, Human Resources, Data, IT and Estates. 

Prior to joining Victoria Academies Trust, Ian was a Finance Performance Improvement Consultant, working as a Director of Pirbright Finance Consulting and for EY as part of their Banking and Capital Markets team. Within this role, he worked on projects across retail and investment banks to implement new finance, risk and data platforms, building on his experience working in the product control finance function at Barclays Capital. Before moving into banking, Ian qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2006. He completed his MBA at Salford University.
