Georgina Durrant

Georgina Durrant is an author, podcaster, writer, and speaker. She’s a former teacher and SENCO, and a tutor for children with special educational needs. She is the founder of the award-winning SEN Resources Blog, a website visited by thousands of parents and teachers every week, where she provides advice, activities, and recommended resources.

Georgina has written two books full of creative and engaging activities to help children develop important skills through play: ‘100 ways your child can learn through play’ and ‘How to boost reading and writing through play’. Her most recent book, ‘SEND strategies for the primary years’, gives education staff, parents, and carers practical strategies to put in place while they wait for diagnoses, assessments, or support for children with autism, PDA, ADHD, dyslexia, DCD, dyscalculia, sensory processing differences, speech, language and communication needs, and more. 

She writes a monthly column on SEND for Nursery World Magazine and has a YouTube channel of activities for parents and teachers. She speaks at education conferences, webinars, and schools about play, literacy, education, and parenting, and has been part of a parliamentary round table on SEND. Her parenting and education advice has been featured in the Independent, Guardian and Telegraph.
