Gemma Donovan

Gemma Donovan is an experienced international EAL/EFL educator and accomplished educational leader, driven by a commitment to student success and equity. Over the course of her career, Gemma has taught and led in primary, secondary, and tertiary-level international education institutions in diverse locations, including Italy, the UK, Hong Kong, and presently, in the UAE. 

Gemma thrives as a dynamic, results-oriented, and empathetic intercultural leader. She also excels in communication, organisation, and strategic planning, consistently driving progress and achieving goals. Gemma’s expertise spans teaching and learning, effective curriculum development and implementation, teacher training, and comprehensive pastoral care. 

Her passion lies in cultivating enduring relationships with all stakeholders and driving programme success. Gemma is also an advocate for the communicative-collaborative approach, and champion student and teacher agency. She firmly believes in the correlation between successful language acquisition and social emotional learning, and aims to nurture the holistic growth of students.
