Evan Williams

Evan is a counter fraud manager at the Department for Education. Having lead the function there for many years, he now focuses on continual improvement, communication and innovation. He proudly oversaw the growth of the counter fraud team during the pandemic, having worked in counter fraud for 16 years since starting his civil service career with the National Crime Agency back in 2010.

Before that, he worked for television production companies producing everything from Bob the Builder to Pop Idol, and spent a creative year with Guinness World Records. He takes his creativity into the Counter Fraud world by designing engaging and innovative awareness materials that cover a range of media to attempt to reach the widest audience possible.
