Emma Myers - Head of Governance at Invictus Education Trust

Emma is currently the Head of Governance and Compliance at Invictus Education Trust – a multi-academy trust formed in 2015 and based in the West Midlands. Prior to this, Emma was the Governance Lead for Woodard Academies Trust – a national mixed multi-academy trust of six schools, part of the Woodard family of schools.

Emma has also worked for a large not-for-profit education services provider where she was responsible for a large team of governance professionals providing services in over 230 settings – including mainstream, alternative provision, faith schools and special schools in both the maintained and academy sector.

Emma was designated by the DfE in October 2021 as a National Leader for Governance, is an accredited governance professional, having completed the NCTL National Clerks’ Development Programme, holds a certificate in further education teaching and training, and is also trained and experienced in the role of company secretary.
