Emma Darcy

Emma is Director of Technology for Learning at Denbigh High School in Luton, and recognised as a UNESCO digital strategy best practice case study for ‘Developing and delivering a successful technology for learning strategy in the UK’. From 2013 until 2023, she was also Director of Technology for Learning at Chiltern Learning Trust, overseeing all aspects of digital strategy as the trust grew from three schools to sixteen. 

During the pandemic, Emma was Denbigh’s Department for Education EdTech Demonstrator Programme Lead, supporting schools and trusts across the country with online learning. She joined the BETT Advisory Board in 2021 and won the Gold Pearson National Teaching Award for Digital Inovator of the Year. In 2023, Denbigh earned the Edufuturists Award for Secondary School of the Year and Emma received the Global EdTech Award for Most Impactful Senior Member of Staff. 

As well as working part-time as a consultant, Emma is also a trustee for Apps for Good, a member of the Digital Futures Group, and a workstream lead for the AI in Education initiative.
