Dr Thomas Ralph
Dr Thomas Ralph is Programme Director for the Secondary PGCE course and leads the Secondary Mathematics PGCE at the University of Exeter. He also teaches on the MSc and MA programmes as well as supervising dissertation and PhD students.
His research focuses on resistant students in school, how they use space to make school the kind of place they want to be in, how they make their voices heard and the effects of this on mathematics provision.
Prior to this, Thomas spent 11 years teaching in various schools in London and Dorset, worked as a consultant at SMILE Maths developing educational software and has been a head of department in a school specialising in mathematics.
