Dr Paul Bocij
Dr Paul Bocij is an established educator, writer and researcher. His career as an academic and educator has spanned almost 30 years and his teaching specialises in information systems, e-business and ICT.
He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Fellow of the Society for Education and Training. In addition, with more than 30 years of industry experience, he has worked for more than 200 clients as a consultant, developer and professional trainer. He is also a Chartered IT Practitioner (CITP) and a Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS).
As an accomplished writer, he is the author of more than 20 books related to technology, including several bestselling titles. He is one of the authors of Business Information Systems, one of the UK’s leading and longest-established undergraduate textbooks.
In addition to business technology and information systems, his research interests are largely concerned with social aspects of technology, in particular information security, cybercrime & deviance. He is regarded as a leading expert in relation to harassment carried out via technology. Further interests include ethics and professional issues related to technology. He has also published research related to educational technology, employability and computer-based assessment.
