Dr Helen Bradford

Dr Helen Bradford is an independent early years consultant. A lifelong early years educator, she has gained experience through her roles as an early years teacher, teacher trainer, and as an academic leading and teaching early years postgraduate students and MAs in literacy.

Helen’s specialist area of expertise is children’s language and literacy development from birth. Her most recent work has focused on two-year-old children and the beginning of early writing, but she has also researched and written extensively over the past decade on children’s language and literacy development.

Helen is committed to communicating early years best practice. She understands the relationship between children's wellbeing and their capacity to learn, as well as the importance of creating the optimum environment for ensuring that children get the best start in life from their early years settings.
