Dr. Brittany Wright

Dr. Brittany Wright is a trust-wide senior leader overseeing professional development across 27 primary and secondary schools. She is responsible for planning, delivering, and brokering high-quality professional development at school, regional, and trust-wide levels. Additionally, she provides school-to-school support for the Department for Education (DfE) and facilitates National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) and the Early Career Framework (ECF). 

Previously, Dr. Wright served as Head of English in a large secondary school, where she also led provision for gifted learners and coordinated widening participation programs aimed at supporting disadvantaged students in pursuing further and higher education. In 2017, she transitioned into initial teacher education, teaching across PGCE Primary and Secondary courses. 

As an Educational Consultant since 2017, Dr. Wright has supported teacher professional development and led curriculum review and development for English across primary and secondary phases in London and the Midlands. She completed her ESRC-funded doctorate at the University of Nottingham in November 2023, focusing on the relationship between school and social mobility for working-class women in a former coal-mining town.
