Dr Aaron Balick

Dr Aaron Balick is a clinical psychotherapist and academic with almost 20 years’ experience, who works as a media psychological consultant on projects dedicated to quality mental health programming. In addition to his clinical work, he is also an author, media contributor, consultant, and international speaker.

Dr Balick is a founding and former executive chair of The Relational School UK, Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Department for Psychoanalytic and Psychosocial studies at the University of Essex. He is also an experienced ‘agony uncle’ for CBBC and Radio 1 through a variety of mediums. He also offers expert opinion for BBC Worldwide, BBC 3, and BBC Learning and backstage consultation for psychological programming.

He is the author of the children’s self-help book, ‘Keep Your Cool: How to Deal with Life’s Worries and Stress’ and, for adults, ‘The Little Book of Calm: Tame Your Fears, Face Your Anxieties and Live Free’. He runs the blog, ‘The Psychodynamics of Social Networking: Connected Up Instantaneous Culture and The Self’ and is the director of Stillpoint Spaces UK.
