Chris Emmott

Chris is currently serving as a reporting inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) as part of his independent consultancy work undertaken in the independent sector. In addition, Chris mentors new heads and support governing bodies in discharging their duties and developing their understanding of the inspection framework. 

Chris has worked in both the maintained and independent sectors, primary and secondary, and commenced his career as an A level maths teacher. Chris has spent the last twenty-five years as the executive head of a highly successful 3-11 co-ed prep school. 

Chris’ overriding passion is helping schools to fulfil their vision by maximising the engagement of the whole school community, for the benefit of all pupils, in a rigorous and creative pursuance of excellence.
