Charlotte co-founded Bright Light Education in 2018, a tutoring company based in London but supporting children all over the world with their education. They run online courses including Creative Writing Courses, Comprehension Courses, 11+ Interview Workshops and Home-schooling Courses. They also offer online and face-to-face 1:1 and small group tuition in English and maths to primary and secondary school children as well as support to those preparing for 11+ examinations. Bright Light Education produces books to help with 11+ preparation including Creative Writing Skills and books to help children with their phonics: Bright Light Phonics

Bright Light Education was reviewed by The Good Schools Guide in 2022. Within the review, The Good Schools Guide wrote, “If there was an award for the agency with the most responsive clients and tutors, this one would win by a long shot. Every single person we requested to talk to following the Survey Monkey questionnaire said yes – a first! Clients were itching to tell us how caring the agency is – ‘they don’t give the impression that it’s all about business like some other agencies I’ve used,’ said one. ‘Motivational,’ ‘professional’, ‘responsive’ and ‘personal,’ we also heard. Several told how Charlotte and Dani’s support goes well beyond the realms of finding a tutor – ‘they have so much knowledge of schools and the application process.’”

Charlotte has been a qualified primary school teacher since 2009 and has taught in the Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. She has been worked as part of the Senior Leadership Team in a private primary school in London and held multiple responsibilities including Early Years Coordinator and Gifted and Talented Coordinator. Charlotte has prepared many children towards their 11+ examinations and, children who she has taught, have gained places, including scholarship places at some of the top secondary schools in London.

Charlotte herself attended one of the top independent day schools in London before attending The University of Edinburgh to study English Language and Linguistics. Charlotte believes education should be effective, inspiring and motivational. She is passionate about giving children the tools to succeed and the confidence to grow. As a leader in education, she is determined to support each individual child in the best way possible and believes that every child deserves a high quality education.
