Catherine Owen

Catherine Owen is Head of Geography at The King Alfred School in Somerset, Geography Association (GA) Consultant, Chair of the Geography Association International Special Interest Group (GAISIG), and Chartered Geography Teacher.

Catherine has regular opportunities to engage with the geography community on a national level. She has written two books for the GA (Going Global and Introducing India) and is currently working on a writing project with OUP. She occasionally runs courses in Birmingham and London for the GA; past courses have focused on the Secondary Geography Quality Mark and on leading a geography department.

Catherine has been delighted to write for the GA toolkit series, present workshops at the GA conference and lead CPD days on the SGQM and middle leadership.
