Catherine Lippe
Catherine Lippe is the early years nutritionist for Nursery Kitchen, where she leads on all aspects of nutritional quality across the company’s meals and menus. She ensures that dishes meet the specific dietary needs of young children; align with government guidance; and support healthy development. Catherine also provides training, resources and expert advice to early years practitioners, helping settings to adopt an approach to food and nutrition that goes beyond the plate to shape children’s lifelong eating habits.
A Registered Nutritionist who specialises in early years nutrition, Catherine began her career in infant and maternal nutrition in the NHS, working as part of the Nutrition and Dietetics team at Barts Health in Newham, London. In her role as Early Start Community Nutritionist, she led public health interventions across East London to support families and early years settings in making positive, sustainable changes to children's diets.
A respected voice in the field, Catherine played a key role in a cross-party parliamentary group’s recent report on early years nutrition. She is also a trustee of the Caroline Walker Trust, where she continues to champion public health and better nutrition in early childhood through advocacy, education and evidence-based guidance.
