Andy Tharby

Andy Tharby is the co-author of the award-winning book ‘Making Every Lesson Count’ and is a secondary English teacher and subject leader with over 15 years’ experience. He is also a research lead at Durrington Research School, training teachers and school leaders across the South East in how to use evidence-informed classroom practice to improve educational outcomes for young people.

In the past five years, as well as ‘Making Every Lesson Count’, Andy has also written two other well-received books on teaching and learning: Making Every English Lesson Count and How to Explain Absolutely Anything to Absolutely Anyone.

His current interests include curriculum design, memory and disciplinary literacy.
