Alex Forbes
Alex Forbes is the current Head of Curriculum Development in a high achieving inner city academy in Manchester. He is responsible for the selection, development and delivery of a range of new academic and vocational subjects, including ensuring that his current school meets the national requirements and Ofsted expectations for curriculum.
He is dedicated to continually enhancing the curriculum to meet the unique needs of every student, empowering them to achieve their full potential and pursue their ambitions, including for the most disadvantaged and vulnerable.
Alex started his career as a consultant in the Banking & Finance arena before moving into education through the Teach First programme in 2011. He has a background in Economics and a MA in Educational Leadership. He has conducted research on developing curricula that foster mindset growth, self-leadership, and the cultivation of key character traits. Alex also has a longstanding commitment with the University of Manchester through guest lecturing in their PGCE programme.
