Alan has been immersed in the world of technology journalism for over a decade. In 2015, he joined Dennis Publishing to help launch and establish Alphr - a site about tech and internet culture. He worked on over 1,800 articles and after starting out as Science Editor, he then became News Editor, Deputy Editor and finally Acting before he left in 2018 to go freelance.
He has written for The Guardian, The Independent, NME, Wired, Business Insider, CNET, Gizmodo, TechRadar, The Evening Standard, Macworld, Pocket Gamer, PC Pro, and Trusted Reviews amongst others.
Alan has also contributed work to The Mirror, Ars Technica, Metro and MSN, and created content for brands such as Microsoft, OnePlus, Currys, Tesco, Merrell, Red Bull, and LG.
