Alan has been writing about technology for a decade. In 2015, he joined Dennis Publishing to help launch and establish Alphr - a site about tech and internet culture. He worked on over 1,800 articles and after starting out as Science Editor, he then became News Editor, Deputy Editor and finally Acting before he left in 2018 to go freelance.

He has written for Wired, CNET, Gizmodo, ShortList, TechRadar, The Evening Standard, City Metric, Macworld, Pocket Gamer, Expert Reviews, Coach, The Inquirer, Rock Paper Shotgun, Tom's Guide, T3, PC Pro, IT Pro, Stuff, Wareable and Trusted Reviews amongst others.

Alan has also contributed work to The Mirror, Business Insider, Ars Technica, Metro and MSN. He also created content for brands such as Microsoft, OnePlus, Currys, Tesco, Merrell, Red Bull, ESET, LG and Timberland.
