Schematic behaviour refers to repeated patterns of actions and behaviours that children engage in during play. It is essential that nursery practitioners have a deep understanding of schematic behaviour and have the tools to develop this behaviour in the children in their nursery.

This course, developed by expert Catrina Lowri, will explore what is meant by schematic behaviour and provide practitioners with the tools they need to encourage this behaviour in children.

Please note: This training course consists of learning through video, task completion, and further reading/research. Please consider this when planning and allocating your time. To successfully understand and achieve the objectives of the course, learners are expected to engage in all aspects of the learning process and complete all relevant activities to ensure they can successfully apply the knowledge and skills they have gained in their own nursery.
