The overall responsibility for the health and safety of children on school trips rests with senior leaders. The school management team should ensure that all trips are well planned, appropriately risk-assessed and carefully managed in order to minimise the risk of any accidents or injuries. Schools must be satisfied that their teachers and staff are competent to lead or supervise a visit. 

Developed by The National College and Samantha Kendall, a qualified emergency medical technician this Essential CPD course provides you with the knowledge and skills to help you understand your legal responsibilities in relation to school trips and can conduct sensible and proportionate risk assessments.
