As part of the DfE’s sustainability and climate change strategy and the National Climate Education Action Plan, school and college governors have a responsibility to ensure compliance and should appropriately challenge the headteacher and the senior leadership team to ensure the school or college is meeting its obligations om climate education and sustainability.
