In England, the national housing emergency impacts 17.5 million people. Homelessness can cause significant disruption to work and education as households cope with a variety of issues, such as temporary accommodation and financial problems. It is essential that those working in education understand how homelessness is defined, how the system works, the statistics around homelessness in England, and what you can do to provide support.

Developed by Heather Collins, trainer at the housing charity, Shelter, this Essential CPD course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to understand the national housing emergency and better support your pupils and their families.
