Developed by Karen Pilling, highly experienced SEND expert, deputy headteacher and SENCO, this course will explore what an EHCP is, the EHCP process, and what a school’s responsibilities are for a child with an EHCP.

EHCPs are for children and young people who require more support than is available through special educational needs support. The plans identify educational, health and social needs of the individual and set out the support they need to meet those needs. 

Education settings play an essential role in developing and implementing EHCPs; therefore, it is essential that staff understand EHCPs and the role of schools.
